oh no im not i aint got speakers thats why i cant hear any thing.

im looking at these are they any good?

Creative Inspire T6060 5.1 Speakers - Retail (SP-060-CL).

thanks all.

Not had any experience with creative ones but Logitech ones are great. I get the impression the creative ones are a little underpowered at the sub but i'm no expert.
This might do better moved to the Home cinema and HI-fi forum.

I'm looking for a set of 5.1 speakers myself and i was considering Logitech Z5500, any experiences of those or recomendations?

yeah i had a set of 4.1 damn there old they were cambridge/creative brand they were ok in there time.

im looking at the logitech they are better by spec but the price is highr :( .

just spotted these they any good?

Logitech S500 5.1 Black/Silver Surround Speakers - OEM (SP-039-LG).

Judging by the price they are pretty low end.
You pay for what you get as they say. ;)

Would probably be ok in a small room but i paid £70 for mine in a small bedroom and they only just cope.

Mine are acoustic solutions ones and they are fantastic on the value for money aspect and work very well.

But as i said i'm not an expert on this.

My brother has the T6060 set and hates the way they sound, he will be changing them as soon as he can. I've heard them myself and it's true, they're really unclear and badly balanced.

The S500 set may be a little better, but will not be great by any means. So there are 2 questions; do you really need surround sound? Is the primary purpose gaming, or do you play a lot of music? And; could the budget extend any further? See, you only get decend sounding surround for over £100 unfortunately. You could get a decent 2.1 set for less of course. How do you feel about headphones?

We have a 4.1 set, Cambridge soundworks, down here. It sounds significantly better than the T6060 set.

Mabye look at the Logitech Z-4 and JBL Creature II sets for 2.1 sound around your budget. I have no experience with either but believe they are your best bets. However, if you were willing to spend a little more, the Acoustic Energy Aego are supposed to be very good.

I've got the T6060 with my x-fi card and it sounds pretty good with some equalization.

I have the Shure E3C & Etymotic ER6i earphones which is why I know what excellent sound quality is. :)
