This is a link to the featured photos Theatres

And about time too. Your rise to well-deserved stardom is long overdue.

Scintillating work as alway - could this be the start of something big for you?

That's brilliant well done, great set of images in the link. Super idea for a project aswell, our predecessers put much more love into buildings than they ever do now.

Thank you :)
I honestly don't expect anything to come from it at all.
Having said that, there is a helicopter flying near my house at the moment and I'm not sure if it's the world's media or just a Police helicopter :D

Thank you very much :)

Great photos, nice one.

Your pictures seem to have such a rich quality to them, I'm a fan. Do you do much exposure blending?

Congratulations.

Is shooting pictures of theatres something you were commissioned to do?
Or is it just something you enjoy? Or perhaps a personal project to maybe later make a book?

Yes, basically all the theatre shots are blended exposures.
They are impossible to capture in just one shot, you get very bright lights and areas where you can't even see any details in the shadows.
And, it takes ages to PP them, without using HDR software.

Congratulations.

They are just a project for myself, really just something to shoot whilst it's raining.
I hadn't thought of creating a book, but, if there are any book publishers out there, I'm available ;)

My other project that I shoot during the rainy season (Jan - Dec) are Town Halls.

Thanks for the info. It might be useful in the future.
But, I'm guessing I'd need a property release from all the theatres.
And then, they'd want a cut of the profits.

worth a go tho, just make sure to keep a list of the places, once you've built things up have a word.

worst thing they can say is no, even if they take a cut, could get you noticed :).

good luck whatever happens, wish i had your time/patience/ability :D.

Yes definitely worth having a go.
Also, it might useful to get my foot in the door, when asking other locations if I can visit, especially those in fancy London village.
I could post them a book in advance.

My brother in law has a double page spread next month in Digital Photographer magazine for his Portrait work. We are over the moon for him.

Congrats to you too!! I hope you make the "exposure" work for you mate...

All the best !
