Yes I am getting another Wii

My wife is on a mad fitness/weight loss spree and we just got a £170 rebate from overpaying the electric so shes decided she wants a Wii and Wiifit for her birthday.

So basically im after some suggestions for games that are actually worth playing on the Wii, i plan on getting new super mario bros and the mario galaxys but other then that im not sure what else is even worth playing.

i had the zelda game and couldnt really get into it last time so thats out.

also any oher fitness games that are worth the money?

Lets hope its 3rd time lucky and it actually gets more then a few weeks worth of use.

Red steel 2
Dead Sapce
House of the Dead
Silent Hill

The fitness games are like a gym membership they work if you use them.

Wii Sports Resort is quite fun (kind of fitness) and you get a 'free' Motion Plus with it which may come in handy with any other games you buy that might be able to use it.

cheers guys, i wont be picking it up until payday or until the rebate come in which ever is first but ill see what i can pickup cheap(ish)

cheers for the help guys.

any ideas on the best bundles available at the moment or do you think its worth picking up a preowned black wii (all my other units are black) and wii fit seperatly and grab a few extra games or paying the extra for a new bundle?

main reason i ask is ive not heard of a any issues with reliability with the wii and its looking about a £75 saving going preowned as a black wii is about £100 and wii fit can be easily had for £50 preowned

There is no reliability issues with the wii, so if you cant get it for a good price pick it up 2nd hand.

Get all the SNES games you can afford, immediately. Then all of the Mario Wii games, followed by Zelda Wii games, followed by pretty much anything made by Nintendo.

its worth finding how to softmod the wii too, all you need is a sd card so there is no hardware modification involved :) i have all my wii games (that i paid for) on a usb hard drive

makes it less hastle when i want to change games and it puts less stress on the console too

Not allowed to talk about it, but yes do it.

Tiger woods 10 is great fun with mates and motion plus. The sword fighting and bowling on the wii sports resort with motion plus is also amazing fun.

house of the dead is arcade shooter heaven and mario kart and sonic team racing are great aswell.

Metroid Prime Collection and Zelda Twilight Princess, two games that every Wii owner should have.
Im eagerly awaiting the next title, as a fan of the older Zelda games like OOT, Twilight Princess was an absolute blast. One of these days I'll replay it like I have with OOT but with surround sound this time!

I know you said you couldnt get into Zelda last time, but as it can be had so cheap, I do think you should give it another shot, the intro sequence of the game isnt that exciting but then thats a virtual tutorial.

I've also heard good things about Monster Hunter, RE4 and No More Heroes.
