Hi all... i keep getting similar emails from msn hotmail staff from germany

I translated it and it reads this:

"They asked recently to put your password back for the Microsoft passport haven network by E-Mail. Follow the instructions specified down, in order to put back and/or cancel around your inquiry putting the password back your password."

Why would i recieve this from them? I dont want them changing my password. And who's "They"? :p

Explanations?

It's possible that someone attempted to reset your password, and this is the system generated message to inform you of that.

Possibly they did this from hotmail.de.

More likely is that it is a phishing scam.

Are there any links in the email for you to click on? If so - paste 'em here.

BUT WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T CLICK THEM

Yeah it virtually the same as the british reset password email that is sent when you press reset password on the login screen. Usually they are sent to an alternet address nominated by you when you set up your hotmail account. Maybe some german has set your email address as their backup address and its being sent to jou instead of the address intended?

Does it have an msn symbol over the envelope on the left hand side of the main page just before you open the email? If so its real.

Ok guys, got another email from them. This time with links:

SO SETZEN SIE IHR KENNWORT ZURÜCK:

1. Markieren und kopieren Sie die folgende Internetadresse.

https://accountservices.msn.com/Ema...7BVFEZ/k5AEbDqEsSrFsGSLcH44=&lc=1031&urlnum=0

1. Markieren und kopieren Sie die folgende Internetadresse.

https://accountservices.msn.com/Ema...7BVFEZ/k5AEbDqEsSrFsGSLcH44=&lc=1031&urlnum=1

Vielen Dank,
