Good evening everyone, I recently bought a new 4K TV and fancy upgrading the audio side of things. In the past I have had dedicated 5.1 set ups, sound bars followed by an AV Receiver and slowly added speakers followed most recently by a Sony HT XT1 Sound Plinth which has been fine over the past two years.
Personally I'm over lots of speakers and for me less is more. In no particular order the use will be movies, music streamed from Amazon Prime, Netflix and Amazon Prime again. We built an extension last year and have a small ish TV room where we sit directly opposite the TV so will not require a lot of power to fill the room.
Originally I considered a Sonos sound bar however when reading reviews it became apparent that I'm possibly spending twice as much for the brand rather than quality. This led me onto the Q Acoustics M4. I had a demo in RS and wasn't a fan, it just sounded like noise coming from a singular speaker. During this visit it was recommended that based on my needs I should consider s Denon DM40 micro hifi system and two
Bookshelf speakers and look at adding s sub at a later date. This never occurred to me and after doing a bit of research over last couple of weeks it appears that it will tick all of the boxes with the aid of either a AudioCast or Echo Dot which I already have.
Anyone have or had this set up?
Just checking a cureball.out there.......I have discovered the Ruark MR1 MRK2 which look stunning! I had s listen to music via BT which sounded great however haven't been able to see what it's like connected to a TV via optical. Again any experience with this out there?
