hey guys,

im going to be upgrading my PC case from a CM storm trooper to a Phanteks enthoo PRO, now thats all going ahead, until i was monitoring my CPU temps last night.

im running a FX [email protected] with 1.46V so i thought if im going to rebuild my rig into a new case which has a lot of watercooling capabilities, why not watercool my CPU at the same time!

SO.. as its my first time watercooling, i would like to get a kit from XSPC, but i have a question about these two kits

AX360

RX360 V3

Is the RX360 V3 worth the extra £47 over the AX360? i want silence as well as decent performance so im going to run my fans at 1200RPM max (would like to run them slower tbh)
i want to keep my drive bays clear as im going to put my 3.5inch SSD and my two HDD's in there out of sight, so the D5 photon is what i would like to go with.

this is what my basket is looking like atm, my budget is £400 and i cant go a penny over :(
YOUR BASKET
1 x XSPC RayStorm D5 Photon RX360 V3 WaterCooling Kit £299.99
1 x Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower Enthusiast Case with Window £89.99
Total : £404.08 (includes shipping : £11.75).

so.. what do you think? :)

In terms of raw performance the RX360 V3 and AX360 are closely matched enough that you won't notice a difference. The RX360 however will perform a little better with lower speed fans. As you say you would want to run your fans <=1200rpm I would go with the kit you have linked.

Alternatively have a look at the OCUK Tech labs water-cooling kits on this page: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=2180&catid=2184
The major advantage being that if you contact OCUK they will customise those kits for you so you can swap parts out to better suit the design you have in mind.

Finally, there are lots of people on this forum (myself included) who would be happy to guide you in speccing your own custom loop - though I appreciate why you are buying a kit for your first venture into this.

Ah I thought that was the kits supplied and that's that.

I would like a tube res/pump combo as it will fit in the case a treat :D

Yup I'm at work so I was not logged into my account online, so ignore shipping costs! :D
