im going to Dubai on business next week, how can i watch like british tv or iplayer over there?

You could leave your home PC on and VPN into it. Would need a good upload speed though.
 
You can use a proxy service to connect to the iPlayer website, but it is rather convoluted and generally crappy speeds unless you know of a really good proxy.
