I done a search and even this 4:3 20" LCD is £350 online..

It may well be, it's a Phillips, rather than some little heard of japanese/korean brand or someone like samsung. Samsung are pretty cheap compared to the rest of the market normally anyway, because they produce their own panels.

If it bothers you that much do what I said

"If you take it back to where you bought it, box it back up and tell them that their head office said you would refund it, minus a 10% fee as it's been opened, they'll take it back. You'll lost 35 quid but if it bugs you that much is a good option."

This will work if its within 28 days of purchase, without fail.

But his throw away the box and packing..

You could try listing it in the MM on here for £300 and see if anyone wants it.

It's a pig I know, i did the same thing a yr ago bought a 15ich LCD TV which was fine then a 360, was really poor through the scart. The vga lead was great to a point but

a: screen was too small,
b: because it was 4:3 a fair few games didn't display right, mainly xbox titles.

Just bought a 32inch LG LCD and it's the dogs difference is night and day, I'd suggest selling it for what ever you can and buy a HD.

Still a market for LCD TV's, 2nd TV's etc I'm sure. ( I hope need to sell mine)

i have not got the box though mate so i cant do otheriwise believe me i would.

Its only cardboard, just go down the local supermarket and get something preferablely nondescript. Ive got enough bubblewrap here to wrap a truck in if you need.
Main thing is a receipt or credit card statement to show purchase and no marks on it. At least go speak to them ?

Otherwise I find playing on a crt monitor perfectly fine, widescreen would be nice though

ok im gunna go down tomorrow ive read the rights though and it seems i would be entitled to another tv. now ive been looking at the Samsung LE19R71BX 19" Widescreen. would this be a good choice.
