im having a problem with dawn of war : soulstorm

i bought it yesterday so i could get the dow2 trial but for some reason im getting a lot of stuttering when i get into a fight,

it seems completely smooth untill they start to shoot
its as if the framerate is the same but the scrolling becomes extremely jerky

anyone have any ideas? it should run fine on my sytem and this happens when its only 2 squads

i didnt have any problems like this with the original dawn of war on my old pc

Probably wont make a difference, but you have got the latest patches on havent you?

i think i have, i got the steam version & i thought that updated the games as i launch them but im not sure?
