im having a problem with empire total war

its only the demo but for some reason its giving me problems, i just installed it on steam and when i tried to load a mission it gave me a weird blue screen with loads of sprites from the game interface flickering on and off all over the place

i exited out and then went to try again and it didnt happen but instead it hung at the loading screen and there was a bit of white flickering now and then :confused:

i have a gtx280, 4gig of ram & a e8600 all @ stock speeds
im running windows7 64bit with the latest drivers and updates so any idea what could be causing this?

i gave up and uninstalled it now

It only seems to go wrong with high spec rigs lol

It plays great on my single core athlon, not a single crash

sadly it seems like the case with a lot of games

oblivion stutters more on this system than it did on my old one

I suspect running an Operating System that hasn't even reached the final stage of the development timeline could have a hand in it.

Full game has been working fine on Win7 x64 for me.
