Well, I'm even more impressed with Shuttles now I've built my SK43G.
I got it off a well known auction site, it was absolutely mint with all the original unopened packaging etc.
Well, the instructions for assembly are very good, better than the P2 series guide at least. It's all up and running with an assortment of old and new components. It's on loan to my Mum for a while so here's the spec:
SK43G
Athlon XP2500 (MM)
2Gb OCZ DDR PC3200 (OcUK)
XFX 5700 LE (personal parts bin)
Soundblaster X-Fi Extreme Music (personal parts bin)
Western Digital SATA 500Gb Black (OcUK)
LG DVD Rewriter (IDE) (personal parts bin)
The only trouble I had was the hard drive, I had to check the WD site and put a jumper across a couple of pins to force SATA 1 before the wee beastie would recognise it. I need a battery for the CMOS too, years in the box have taken its toll.
I've updated to the latest Bios etc from the Shuttle site and everything has gone swimmingly.
On the to do list is replace the GFX card with more modern AGP card and a silver DVD rewriter to enhance the looks.
All in all I'm dead chuffed, built to a budget and very neat.
