have you considered your partner may not be happy with the situation of living with your parents while you may feel at ease there, i dont think its the doing it behind his/her back that is the problem it may be that they dont feel you are fully commited to the relationship which may/may not be the case.

Yeah I thought the same to some degree. Hard to say without knowning them as a couple but yes this might be it.
