Well, to say I have got used to Vista...

When I first got it, it gave me endless problems. I almost went back to Windows XP Professional. So I thought, no, let me give it one more try. I backed up and reformatted the pc, reinstalled, loaded Vista drivers. And the last week it hasn't given me any real problems. I do, however have one annoying problem...

Windows Media play will stop playing songs. If I close it or pause the music, I then can't resume. I press play and nothing happens it shows me the pause button, and that's the endless loop. I have to restart the machine to get it working again..:(

But I am waiting for the 30 day trial to end, then I will most likley activate it as I do like Vista, very nice and a lot of thought went into it by MS..

I closed media player yesterday and it continued to play !

I thought at first i had minimised it but no, checked the task manager but no instance of media player running.

I had to click media player then stop to get the music to end, maybe a similar cause/bug to what your having.

I cant repeat it this morning

Yes, sometimes when I close it, it continues to play, I have to re-open it and close it to stop it.

Then it won't play :(

I like Vista but I do wish Windows Calendar wouldn't crash after making an entry and then rebooting. It's also a shame some games with safedisc copy protection won't work. I really enjoy a game of Patrician III and it's keeps throwing up a message saying that no CD is in the drive. On the whole though it's a good operating system.

i recently just gave up using windows media player in favour of kmplayer. although its a little bit more simple, its a lot more configurable to how you want it etc. another plus side is, it looks native to vista without skinning.
