im looking for a bigger telly

hello there.

im looking for a fairly cheap telly, but im not asking which is best for price, what i dont understand is these hd resultions and stuff.

it says 1080i but then below it says 1366 x 768.
so if i plugged this into my pc would the max be 1366x768? because in the ati controll panel i have 720 and 1080i support.

plus if i plugged this into my pc, could i allso use a freeview box and a dvd player (not linked to the pc) but linked to the tv aswell?

edit: i allso noticed that because its 1366x768, with a HD dvd wont it play it in 720? but could i force it 1080 if i had a HD dvd drive in my pc?

right so, if i downscales from 1920x1080 to 1366x768 on a 32".

then the quality would be like me using 1024x768 on my 22" monitor aka a resolution too small for the monitor?

ok, so no matter what i use like 720 or 1080 it will be downscaleing or enlarging the image if its below 1366x756 to that resolution?

okay get it perfectly now. but compaired to a pc monitor would the image quality be a bit duff? wouldnt it be better just to get me self a 24" 1920x1200 monitor
