Hi, I currently have the intel core i5-3570k as a processor and am looking to upgrade to Intel core i7. The mother board I have is the Gygabyte Z77X-UD5H and I was wondering if they are compatable? I assume they are both being intel processors but wanted to be sure.

Thanks for the replies, it was overclocked when I got it. Looking at dxdiag it has @3.40GHz then ~3.8GHz. I was looking to upgrade as looking at the system requirements lab's can I run it for warhammer total war to run at optimal settings I'd need Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0 GHz.
