Agreed. The 5600 actually fairs against the 6420 so its great value for money.

Yea I'd say the fanboyism is a bit more rampant in the replies than from the original poster. You act like his PC will be complete ***** just because he is getting an AMD processor but that's just not true.

Yes, the Intel chips will overclock far better and therefore you can get lots more performance out of relatively little money, but not everyone wants to dabble in overclocking.

At stock speeds his 5600+ will be faster than the e4500/e6320 he could get at roughly the same price point therefore his decision is perfectly sound.

I'd edit that sweary sharpish
