almost 6 weeks now since i submitted. I've been link building too. 200 visitors in 5 days.

I'm thinking I've bodged something ... anyone help me out? these are the meta tags

Code:
<meta content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv="content-type" />
<meta name="Title" content="****** - In-car entertainment, window tinting, custom bootbuilds and car hi-fi." />
<meta name="Keywords" content="in-car entertainment, incar entertainment, ice, window tinting, satnav, handsfree phone, snooper, reverse sensors, in-car dvd, in-car ps2, custom boot builds, boot build, bootbuild, kicker, audiobahn, car hi-fi, car audio, car amplifiers, parrot, ******.com, ******, staffordshire, stoke-on-trent, fenton, uk" />
<meta name="Description" content="***** is a leading supplier of quality in-car entertainment products, customised bootbuilds, and car hi-fi." />

****=name of company

and robots.txt

User-agent: *
Disallow: /limo/

to stop search engines indexing an add-on domain in that directory.

Googlebot is visiting every few days ... but no listing, even if I put *****.com into google... nothing.

I'm gonna start losing sleep over this ...

Google just hasn't added the site yet. They've been a bit rubbish in my opinion. MSN has the site listed so I wouldn't worry too much about having made a mistake.

hadn't spotted the msn listing, thanks.

maybe it just needs a LONGGGGGG time. just have to wait .... have all the bots visiting ... just no listings.

Google has been way off what they was for a few months now, sites getting dropped and then next week back in again. Something is seriously wrong with them in my opinion.

Effective Marketing Online
This doesn't have to be that hard, but it is time consuming and never ending and should be treated like any other marketing strategy for a business. Take it any lighter than that and you'll lose out in the long run. Websites that have lots of other websites and pages pointing to them are deemed important. The more the better.

Google now seems to penalise for having a lot of links. Some people say if you have links from sites that are in the same theme as your own site thats ok, but if you have links from sites that are not of the same content that its bad.

Basically its googles attempt at trying to get webmasters to stop using networks like coop and link-vault.

No one will ever know what google is doing except google.

well, one can't rely on google as sole source of hits I suppose... inbound links and advertising can only help your business, if you reach the right people, and they click through and buy something .... if they can see you then they don't need to find you.

all links bringing the right people to your site must be good for your business, surely.

Don't beat yourself up about it. Google can be painfully slow (sometimes it takes months) at indexing sites, and it doesn't seem you've done anything wrong.

The ball is in their court :)
