I'm seriosly thinking getting that Leadtek GTX280

As it was my birthday the other day and I've got around £200 from various family members, if I add another £70 I can get me a GTX280.

Now I realise the 4870 is better value, BUT it's technically only costing me £70 ;)

The main question, will it fit in my P182?

Buy the 4870 then with the money saved buy a new case :D;)

Nearly a 100 pounds you have to pay extra for a 280 over a 4870 for about a 10% increase, not worth it imo.

4870 all the way ;)
 
i would love to know hwere the nvidia fanboys have all gone

way i see it is that the 4870 is great - get one of them and save some cash

or if you are dead set on the best performance you can get regardless of cost

get the gtx - it should easily fit in the antec
ive seen 3870X2s sitting in those cases and i dont think its longer than them
 
Hi, im in the sane boat as you.
Im wating till the 4870 comes out August the 14 then i'll decide what to do from there then i'll choose between a 4870, 4870x2 or a gtx280.

Similar to you, except things have been made less clear now the GTX280+ is due out late aug early sept :confused:
 
How big is it compared to a Ati 2900xt? I have one, and it just about fits in my p182 without removing anything.
 
4870x2 due mid-August, GTX 280+ rumoured for end of August - best to wait. Either hope for a better card for the same money, or get the 280 then for a price reduction.

Depends on how much patience you can muster - good luck with that :D
