Buying a VX2025WM over the NEC purely for the fact that i'm put off by the comments regarding movie playback. I need a decent all-rounder and my budget simply won't stretch to over the £350 mark. Is this the best option for me? Thanks :)

In a simialr position

got the VS and was satisfied with the movie playback but mine has backlight bleeding so i sent it back (i.e when the screen is dark you can see light coming from behind the screen in all 4 corners) - this wasn't nocticeable on windows but if you are a heavy movie watcher you will notice it because when you watch movies you have the black bars along the top and bottom and this is the area affected by the bleeding!)

I've had a look at the Samsung 215TW and although it's within the same price category as the NEC it seems that backlight bleed is even worse on that. Really stuck here, there doesn't seem to be anything else that meets my needs.

maybe

Hi there have you looked this model ,i,ve heard great reviews about it ,got good reviews on this store site ..Belinea 102035W 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver ;)

I have, but from what i've read the colour reproduction seems a little better on the ViewSonic. This is quite an important factor as i'll be using photoshop a little.

I doubt all VX2025WM will suffer from that backlight issue. Many happy users on these forums. The 102035W is a good model aswell, although the colours are better apparently on the Viewsonic. They both use the same panel though, so I doubt there is THAT much between them. Belinea is £40 cheaper anyway!
