Because you kept asking about co-codamol and I missed his post talking about prescription codeine? Also the fact that pure codeine tablets are prescription only makes it a fair assumption, unless stated otherwise, that the person is taking co-codamol.

Edit: Reading the post about pure codeine, he says he's taken 5x15g tablets - that's over the safe limit of 30-60mg in one sitting. Have you seen the constipation codeine can give you? It's not nice.

I am yet to ever feel anything other than pain relief from codeine. Are you all lightweights or just fibbers?

I think the others have covered this already but 120mg+ is considered a recreational dose, thats the amount you need to "feel something" normally. I have a friend who used to take 8x30mg regularly - he even used to extract the codiene from co-codamol! Fortunatly that habit has now stopped.

thats not the safe limit just a recommended one.

I was commenting on how the major side effect of alcohol is liver damage, and that is what the limits are based on.

Codeine will not only mess up your liver, it will give you constipation and a multitude of other fun things.

you can get 8mg/12.8mg codeine over the counter, and 15/30 pills on perscription. Codeine is metabolised into morpheine in the body, but only around 10% of it, so essentially its a very low dose morphine, as you ramp the dose up you're having more morphine, theres no stronger painkiller.

The thing no ones mentioned to you is, essentially you took 5 x30mg codeines, which is a pretty damn heft dose and no matter what people say, unless you are a long term user(without breaks) that will effect you even if you think its not, taking that, then driving is a complete a-hole move. You may aswell have gotten completely drunk then gone out driving, even if you done 8 shots of vodka and go out before you get drunk from it, by the time you get back you could be driving completely ******.

Not to mention that it should have been obvious that Tesco's wouldn't be open, and the fact that if 150mg codeine wasn't working, bonjela wasn't going to touch it.

Its called an emergency dentist, you'll find them with a google search, in a hospital maybe, or the good old yellow pages. You don't want tooth pain, do something useful about it.

Ok read the post again please, didnt take the codeine before i drove to tesco, clearly stated i went for bonjela then when it was shut come back and took codeine, secondly i took five because they were 15mg tablets not 30 which again was stated at the start, get off your high horse stop being a "ahole" and read the post again!
