i have just decided to build a folding rig as a little cheap project and came across an ASUS P35 mobo on flea bay and put a max bid in, minutes later i found a much better mobo for around the same price i entered for the max bid. truly gutted now, i might have to buy both and sell the asus board on =(

Why cant i wait!

It's ebay, dude. Just think of an excuse why you can't pay -- the seller can do a "second chance offer" to the people who were under you in the bidding

If the auction is still running you can cancel your bid.

You can use any old excuse, Couldn't contact the seller is always a good one.

I bought another mobo last night through buy it now, emailed the seller of the other one and asked to retract the bid or cancel, then went to bed with 6 hours left on the auction, thankfully i was outbid this morning it went for £49, he did email me and say he tried to cancel my bid and if i won he would do a second chance offer.
