I'm Stuck On Which GPU To Get...

Yeah, it's fine :)
Was just toying with some numbers and wondered if xfire was an option.
It would have involved trading up to an i7 and a bigger psu. A bit long winded, but since your mobo is better off with a single gpu, it's a lot of hassle.
Just looking at options really.

i got a gtx 770 4gb version could not be more happier, dose the job on all games really , u could wait a few weeks like the guys said and maybe see if the 780 will drop in price an get that, but if u want something now then 770 all the way really

Like has already been said, if you can scrimp and save for a few more weeks in order to stretch to a 780, DO IT! It's in another league to the 770 and you won't be dissapointed :D

Whats the point of any nvidia card really when Mantle is here soon, and games are going to be predominantly AMD optimized?

Is the 780 a real step up from the 770 and worth the extra money, I didn't really want to spend more than 400 really but if it's going to gain me a lot I might have to think about that.

No denying the 780 is better than a 770 but is it £150-200 better?

No chance

That's what I'm thinking, is it that much better for an extra 150 quid? The only thing I'm thinking of is it's a bit more future proof for the next set of games coming out in the next couple of years, instead of having to upgrade again in 3-4 years time I can just go with the 780 and save myself having to do that. Am I right in thinking that or?

Doesnt matter

in afew years if a game is unplayable on a 770 then i doubt a 780 will make much difference

if the 780 was £50 more than a 770 then i would get it

but tbh your better off getting a 4gb and/or a highly overclocked 770 and use the massive savings for other parts of the system

Wait for the R9 290/290X to be released. Only a week away now so would seem silly not to. If the price rumours are to be believed ie £550+ then grab a 7970 GHz edition, overclock the nuts off it and add another one in a year or two. GTX780 is massively overpriced imo and worth the extra over the 770.

While I've said to go for a 780 or wait and see about the 290X, I do agree with you guys that the price jump is a bit much over a 7970/280X - Which is what I'd pick over a 770 every time.

If it wasn't for the mobo/cpu/psu situation, I'd say to go a 7950 xfire setup.

Thanks for the opinion lads, really appreciate it! I definitely think you're right about the price jump being to much to the 780. What do you think I should go for now then? I will wait until the 290 comes out just to see what their about etc.

7970? 7990? 770? Or something else? I just want the best performance I can get really.

Cheers!
