I'm stumped, 100 degree cpu no idea why

So went through a lot of junk i had laying around found enough to build a tower, got it all up and running (I7 6700k gtx 1080 16gb 2400mhz) but cpu temps are running high while gaming.

Tried and checked..
Checked voltage 1.24x not overclocked.
Tried water cooler
Standard intel fan
Huge fan
After trying the third fan i assumed the paste inside internal heat spreader was bad so delidded and added new paste.

Still running at 100 degrees am i missing something?

Yeah wierd its deffinately 100c and tested using msi afterburners plugin, doesnt shut down or cut performance any specific app to test with?

Are you using HWInfo64 for you temperature read outs?
