i have an amd/ati build and was wondering if you can use a physx card with this set up, would i have to install the nivida control panel and driver to use the card or will it just not work?

thanks in advance

What i did (going from memory here though so....)

As normal, i already had my ATI 5970 in and I DIDNT uninstall anything else. so i shut down my pc - as normal

I installed mycard (Nvidia GTX8800) in a pci-e 16 slot then rebooted

I installed 257.15 Beta ForceWare driver (64 bit) after reboot. thats it.

Sometimes though, i had to connect my Nvidia card to the monitor or i would get the prompt "hardware not detected" or something of that realm. I had HDMI from my 5970, so was able to connect a DVI cable

Try that anyway. You might not need to connect another cable. I've had it working different ways. Also note that Physix won't be shown in the control panel. checkout fluidmark and confirm it says hardware physx

Hope this helps a bit:)
