I’m trying to sell my car. What are some quick fixes I can do?

Besides washing the interior windows and febrezing the entire car, what can I do to make the value go up a little bit?

Nothing. You can make sure it is spotless but you won't ad value as such. It will be easier to sell though.

Well not listening to anything DannyW says would be a good start :)

Just give it a really good clean and make everything look nice and tidey.

Good clean for me, i get put off a car pretty much straight away if the seller hasn't even bothered to give it a good clean before viewing it.

The car i've just purchased was immaculate when i viewed it, makes it more attractive from the word go!

Plenty of good quality pictures helps too.

What sort of car is it, what condition is it in, how much is it worth? No point spending £300 on a full detail if the car's worth half that.

I would stick a Bodykit on it , put some lexus lights and some neons and judging from auto-trader it should be worth more.

If the car is getting on a bit, such as 8 years old or older, a fresh MOT always helps.

If the car is on the old number plate system (pre 2001) then a fresh MOT will help loads.

Say you have something like an R Reg Fiesta, then without an MOT it is almost worthless. A fresh MOT can make it worth over £500.

Wash it, clean the windows and wheels and then give the paintwork a good polish, also add a light coating of tyre shine :)

If you have leather interior some gliptone (or similar leather cleaner/conditioner) works wonders at bringing back the leather smell and lustre, if cloth try some interior cleaner to lift off any dirt.

Top up fluids and have a wipe around the engine bay with a degreaser.

Make sure it has matching tyres all round and matching front and rear numberplates.

mismatched plates is a sure fire giveaway the car has been bumped at some point.
