I've just purchased an ASUS A8N-E Motherboard. On page 15 it states
I suspect some of this is saying that I can't use the cheap high-density sticks that you see on eBay.
However, Imy intention is to add two 1GB sticks of branded "value" memory and I can't tell whether any is suitable.
For example:
Corsair VS 1GB - uses 128M x 64
Crucial - not stated
Geil Value - uses 32x8
OcUK Value - not stated
Does this mean that the MoBo won't work with Corsair, will work with Geil, with Crucial and OcUK being unknown.
If I'm interpretting this correctly, the Asus seems a pretty rubbish board and I should consider returning it.
I'm confused - please help.
Thanks,
Nigel
Due to CPU limitation, DIMM modules with 128Mb memory chips or double-sided x16 chips are not supported in this motherboard
