iMac 2.4Ghz or 2.8Ghz Extreme

What will the real world difference be?

Main apps i will be using CS3 and Lightroom, along with the usual Office and Net apps.

Will be maxing it to 4Gb of RAM - but getting it direct from Crucial as i did for my MBP.

2.8Ghz would be pretty sweet, 2.16Ghz just wasn't enough on my MBP.

Well would be nice to know if there is a difference for the dosh.

Not that it really bothers me would just like to understand.

Been running Macs for around 3.5 years now... G4 Power Book for 3 years and now on a 2.4 GHz 17" MBP with hi def screen

I do for see an update to the iMac this year, but I doubt it will be untill summer or at the September Expo

I feel the same - if it was imminent it would have been announced at the recent Expo.

Anything i feel will be a processor increase/change.
