Dear fellow iMac 5k owners...
I just bought my self a new 5k Imac with the I7 etc. I was hoping for some guidance in regard to which ram to purchase. To be more specific I am after 16gb kit from 3 competitors.
Kingston Hyper X
Crucial Ballistix Sport
Corsair Vengeance
I assume DDR3L is fine for my machines, the question comes down to - albeit I need to do some more research too, that I want to know which one provides me the best speed.
I do not have a budget, so performance is key for me. I am not too sure in regards to compatibility either. I believe the stock ram is DDR3 1866MHz - so it's pretty high end as it is. I believe "Kingston 16GB HyperX Impact Black Series - DDR3L - 16 GB : 2 x 8GB - SO DIMM 204-pin" is one that is touted with pretty good benchmark score. However I noticed differnet model numbers. I do believe that the Kingston Hyper X appear to be the highest end of ram I can buy.
Can I have some help please?
