man the 24" imax looks nice , thinking about replacing old tv with one of these! can i set it up to watch freeview? so i can do away with Tv and just have imac as pc/tv in living room?
Sky will most likely look pants upscaled to that resolution, seeing as you're stuck with the analogue input. Freeview should look fantastic, though, assuming you get a decent reception in your area.
Unless you're only going to be sitting 3' from it, I'd say you'd be better off with a larger LCD TV and a Mac mini. That way, you'd be able to hook up Sky with the RGB Scart - for the best picture - and still get the advantages of using the mini with a Freeview dongle (Either the Hybrid that Chewy linked, or the Freeview only version).
I use a Milglia TV Mini with my 20" iMac and it works perfectly, although its strength depends on how good your freeview reception is. I can record TV, export it to iPod easily, online TV scheduling etc. Cost £70.
