I used my iMac for a demonstration today at uni. The problem was the iMac stayed on for a total of 30 minutes, about 10 minutes each time.
The first time I had to deliver the presentation without a demo, which was rubbish.
Then it came on after the presentation but died again a little while later.
Fortunately for my second presentation it started working again 5 minutes before. What's lucky is that I did the demonstration in the middle. The iMac died before the end of the presentation.
I'm at home now and have zero problems.
Nobody else had problems with plugged in devices.
The system shut off completely and refused to turn on, no lights, no whirring, nothing.
Does the iMac require more power than the sockets could provide?
