imac digital out?

Erm hey, my mates have the new model silver imac, (one has a 20inch one has a 24inch)

We read the manual and it all seemed straight forward, connect a mono to coax cable (to my z5500's) and digital output should work? but it doesn't.

Whats needed/hardware/software wise for digital out? :/

I always thought the iMac's digital out was optical?

You'll need a 3.5mm to optical converter.
