imac g4

looking to get a cheap imac and wondering what these imac g4 are going for these days would like one on the cheap if poss but if i could get a rough price for a descent one, also how much can you upgrade on them ie hard drive and memory with anything else

about £150 looking at getting one for photo editing and ipod and itunes, i have seen a video on youtube of someone swapping out a 3.5inch ide on the g4, does seem to be a lot on the bay for about my amount, wasnt there a g5 as well a lot like the new imacs but instead of alum its white plastic

whats the lifespan of the imacs at present ??? are they due a new one soon, how many years is it roughly between each one, sorry for the questions its just that am thinking of saving up for a new imac full spec in a year or so when i my will most likely be ready for a new breath of life in my current pc
