iMAC G5 Problems

Hi i have an iMac G5 which i about 8 months old, and its been playing up it wont wake from sleep and has been quite slow I have updated OSX and restarted it a few times and now it wont go to sleep, you press the button and nothing happens, anyone got any ideas on how to fix it

Right, you probably need to reset the PMU (power management unit, gets screwed up sometimes), or PRAM. Apple's support site will have instructions on how to do this for your particular model.
