imac hypothetical question about upgrades

If in the next few years I were to buy a new mac or source a second hand imac are they upgradable?

Are the current sleek imac models able to take new grahics cards? HDD's? and memory?

How many additrional HDD's can be installed inside a sleek imac?

Im only asking as a pc user, I can add loads of HDD's and update my G card every few years. Just wondered if imacs are upgradeable or do i have to buy new imac every 2-3 years?

Short answer: Not really.

The RAM is easily upgradable via a small access flap at the bottom of the screen. However, You'd have to take the whole thing apart to upgrade the hard drive. I don't even think the GPU could be upgraded, don't quote me though.

hhmmm i'll have to have a read around. seems bit rubbish that you have to pay £700+ and cant upgrade it. What do they fetch second hand? Do they hold there value?

If I could get a good 2nd hand price that wouldtake the sting out of having to buy new a lot.
