Hi,

I have been given a 20" iMac all in one computer.

I really want to learn more about OSx so I thought it would be a great way to start. The bracket was broken however I have fixed that now.

It has two user accounts on it which I have been given the passwords to gain access.

What I really want to do is a complete fresh installation. Is it easy to do?

Anyone point to a good guide for the procedure?

Fresh installs are easy to do but any chance of a bit more info?

Could you go to the Apple Menu > About this Mac

And tell us what version of OS X is installed and what year/model the iMac is from?

Yes this would be helpful. Once you know which version of OSX you have its really easy to knock up a bootable usb installer for the OS and install form that.

Get yourself signed into iTunes and the app store and you should be able to gain access to whatever the latest version of the OS your mac will run.
