iMac not resolving local hostnames

Since yesterday, my iMac won't resolve local hostnames, unless I use ".local". Up to this point, it was absolutely fine.

Every other machine on my network has no issues, just the iMac. I tried restarting the router but still the same problem.

Any ideas?

No ideas? My MacBook Air also does it now but iPads and every other device doesn't. Leads me to believe its something Mac OS related...
