Looking for a bit of advice and the cheapest way of using Adobe CS5.

I have a copy of CS5 that I'm running on a 2009 macbook pro which is getting quite slow now.
I have a PC for all my Network and virtualisation stuff, internet browsing and .net dev.

However id like to be able to Run CS5 relativity fast on a bigger screen.

Have seen the 21.5 iMac 1.4ghz is cheep and also the Mac Mini even more so.
What would you reccomend

If you're anything like me, and by that I mean suffer with OCD, then you'd have to use a Mac Mini with an Apple Display anyway so that they match, in which case you may as well get an iMac as it costs less. If you can hack just using any display, then a Mac Mini is more than capable for that

You can buy a lot of display, keyboard and mouse for the £429 difference that the Mac mini and iMac cost with the same spec. Also, I wouldn't want to be spending that much money on a ULV Core i5 desktop.

Best bet however would be to look at the refurb store, third parties or the second hand market for an older i7 quad core model. Would probably cost the same amount, has easily upgradeable memory (on any you can upgrade the HD, voiding the warranty however), and would be significantly more powerful.

Either that, or spend the extra £150 on the more powerful quad core iMac. Again, refurb and Education (if eligible) stores are worth a look.
