iMac Prices

Disclaimer: I searched to see if there was a similar post but found none

Observation: Why is it now the cheapest iMac you can buy is £949 (non-HE discount etc). There was a time when they had prices of £799, even £699 during Model change.

They used to be able to lure some hesitant PC users with such prices, I can't see that happening often now. The £949 isn't even *that* highly specified.

What is apple thinking?

It's not so much the exchange rate, it's that they've scrapped the lowest model. But they didn't do their usual of moving the others down the pricing to fill the gap, they just disappeared it entirely and put a new one in the middle. Which is annoying.

yes it is i love mine and with the ati 4850 thats with it games looks smooth and great
