iMac problems

Hi All,

A couple of months ago i bought a 27" refurb iMac, recently the HDD has started to make a lot of noise, and in photoshop it is going a lot slower. Also starcraft 2 used to play on all the top setting with no problems, now i get some slow down and a warning to reduce my settings.

This is my first mac so dont know the usual steps to take to check things out, any help would be great!!

Open the disk utility and run the diagnostics.

Not at a Mac so can't tell you exactly where to find that.
