does anyone know when the last bunch of iMacs came out and when the next upgrades will be due?

I would really like my computer to be able to play diablo III and starcraft II and although i think the latest iMac with the 8800 would manage, since i've gotta wait for the games i might aswell wait for the next iMac and have even more power at the ready... anyone know?

Intel is launching 65W Quad Processors in January, so latest rumour is that we may see new Quad iMac in January, maybe even dare I say it a new mini as well.

Would fit in well with Apple for its annual January show.

The current iMac with the 8800 chip will run pretty much anything.

Although the 8800 is good, the tech is well over 2 years old now. Especially at 1920x, they are already starting to show their age.

Though blizzard games do normally scale quite well, dont expect max settings at 1920x and the game will look blury at any other resolution.

Also a faster dual core will be better at most games than a slower quad.
