Imac quality display for pc

Can anyone recommend a decent 27" monitor of comparable quality to that on a 27" 2013 imac?
I have £2.5 k put aside for a mac but having never had one, I am not certain I should not try a build a more powerful mitx system.
The thing needs to be small though and pack a punch for gaming, media and photo editing.
The monitor choice is all that is really holding me up in deciding once and for all so any suggestions on 27" displays would be great!

We have quite a mac following with our I2757FH or I2757FM

Both will be listed here at overclockers in the next week or so

As an IPS screen it will be perfect for media and photo editing and if you are more interested in colours and viewing experience and if you play games that do not suggest 120Hz such as FIFA, GT5 etc then the monitor will be perfect.
