iMac replacement screen. Where from?

I need a replacement screen for my iMac G5.

It's a 17" model A1195.

Apple have quoted me £450 :eek:

Where can I get a replacement screen? & How much do they cost?

I'm happy to install it myself.

Quick update:

I managed to remove the LCD panel from the unit. it's a model LM171W02 (TL) (B2).
seems like the vertical lines issue is quite common on this model.

Does anyone know if any other LCD panel is compatible?

only the following two are compatible:

LM171W02(TL)(B2) & LM171W02(TL)(B1)

Both very hard to find and they both suffer from the vertical lines issue my current panel has.

They also happen to be the most expensive panels made for my iMac.

Maybe worth searching for your model of iMac and seeing if anyone has one spares or repairs that matches?

tbh the screen is worth 450 quid, it is an ips panel. after all you dont pay for the hardware in a mac

It's not so much the £450, it'the fact that the new screen (even if it's supplied & fitted by Apple) will eventually suffer the same problem.
