I've got Canon, Nikon and Minolta digital cameras and of the supplied browsers I much prefer Nikon View ( I don't like the Canon Browser!) and use it as my default browser viewer. However when I view images taken with the other cameras I do not get the complete EXIF info eg Scene Mode etc.
Is their a decent browser (preferably freeware) that anybody can recommend that will give the complete EXIF info for all the cameras and give slideshows?? I don't need any image processing as I use PS 7.

I use Nikon view, as you do - love it. But then, i'm only using Nikon cameras...

Try out Googles Picasa.

I didn't much like the interface when I tried it, and also found it slow - but I think it does everything you want it to...

All I can think of is Raw Shooter Essentials(free) Premium(£40iirc).... but that only works if your shooting in RAW, you havent stated exactly which cameras you are using so its hard to say if it will be suitable.

I use ACDSee at work, it's a great package, couldn't manage without it. Sadly it's not free; $49.99 (well worth it IMO), there is a free trial though which is worth a try. The only EXIF info i've looked at has been on the 10D and the 1Ds Mark II, but I'd assume it works fine for other cameras. You can always give the trial a go.

XNview is free and very similar to acdsee. It certainly will display exif but I think you have to select properties/exif each time which is a bit of a pain. The current version I have seems to fill up memory quickly and needs to be shut down and restarted every so often. This all sounds very negative but it is definitely worth trying.

Pixort is an interesting program that has a free version. I haven't used it much but keep meaning to explore it more. The free version doesn't handle raw files but it doesn't sound as if that is something you need.
