Hello,

I am having trouble with some images on my website. The colours are displaying slightly different in each browser. On Firefox they are looking slighly washed out. The profile of the images are Adobe RBG. Should I be saving them in a particular colour profile in photoshop to avoid this? I am using a mac.

Thanks

Are you sure it's not picking up an old cached version of the image? As one seems to have a gradient and the other doesn't. I wouldn't expect a different colour profile to completely remove that.

Don't think it's the cached version am to be honest, the shadow is from the window in Firefox/osx not the image. Just did a screen grab. I was thinking it could be something to do with how each browser handles colour profiles or something?

No they are jpgs, saving them in Photoshop. Removed the colour profile and has seemed to have solved the problem. However they are saving with really washed out colour.

Save your images sRBG colour profile. Safari is the only current build other than stuff in dev like FF3 which handles colour profiles correctly.

Been having a nightmare all day trying to figure out why Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 displays different image colours to Safari, IE7 and Chrome

But unticking the colour profile when saving as jpg's works perfectly, thanks ;)
