I have just bought a "TOPO GB PRO" microSD card for use with a GPS device (Garmin 64s). I tried making a (very slow) backup onto another microSD card and it is not recognised the 64s.

This card cost me over £300 and I don't want to have to buy another. Is there any way of making a reliable bit-copy of a microSD card?

Is it just a generic SD card with some custom formatting, or is there some sort of copy protection going on?
To be quite honest, I don't know, it looks pretty much "generic" to me but I presume that they must have done something to stop it being cloned. I will give your solution a go. Thanks.

Well, I tried HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool and so far as I can tell, it worked perfectly - so far as I could tell, the two microSD cards were identical.. However, the Garmin GPS64s managed to spot that the backup microSD card was not the original so I will just have to take my chances. Thanks to both for the suggestions.
