Image editing.. what do you do?

Hi all,

Just wondering what you tend to do to your pics to make them look better overall?

I see a lot of you use a bored which seems to make a nice difference.

Thanks. It was just a pic my other half took in her mums bathroom. Cameras just a Fuji Finepix F10. As you can see from the original, the flash didnt help much!

She's trying to get a portfolio for her make up, so just did this messing around. I think it came out well

I think what Messiah Khan did works best, the first image looks very overexposed.

Sorry Im a noob. What does overexposed mean? As you can see from the original, its very different!

Yeah I think its a bit bright too. I do like the way it came out though. I just loaded it in to picasa and she had a play around. I was quite impressed!

Here's the original if anyone thinks they can improve it. Would be appreciated. As said it needs to show off the make-up if poss.
