Hi all,

I have a couple of vids/images from my CCTV that I was looking through but the quality is not the best (as expected), I wanted to know if it was possible to enhance or sharpen them so I could make it clear as possible.

the backstory if you must know, I own a small business and we have our own commercial private bins which we pay for uplift once a week. There is another business owner that I have caught recently in 2 weeks who has dumped his boxes (a lot of them) infront of my bin and that as caused the neighbours to complain to me, even though it is not my fault (my bin is always locked).

As far as I know this is illegal to be dumping on the public street is a no no, but to be dumping waste from a commercial premises on to the street and on top of that near another business must be a bigger crime.

I want the full force of the law to lay the smack down on this bugger and even though I have CCTV video footage of the guy doing it, it isn't the clearest of image, if some how I can just get the reg plate of it then I would report it to the police or land and environmental services in Glasgow.

all help would be appreciated it thanks.

There is really not much you can do to enhance an image, if you can't read the plate as is, then sharpening is really not going to help.

This sounds like the kind of challenge GD likes... Stick the image in there and see if anyone can read the number plate...

Hi

Thanks this is the image I recovered from the CCTV. it is the blue van next to the white van.

if the reg plate could be recovered I would appreciate it very much, thank you.

Have to agree, the quality of the camera is too poor to even attempt to recover that number plate.

And this technology doesn't exist it's just for dumb TV shows that can't find a real way to advance the plot. Good for a laugh though when you see it.
