Hi people, does anyone have, or have a link to a picture of the "Scales of Justice" tattoo DeNiro has on his back in Cape Fear. I'm toying with the idea of a tattoo and if i go for it this is what i want.

Thanks

heheheh wang

Also... do you really want to straight up rip someone's tattoo? I mean by all means go for it, but a similar, but not the same piece drawn up by a tattooist would be much much cooler.

Looks like the tattooed people are here again :)

If this is your first ever tattoo (and I suspect it is) having your back done first is going to put you through a world of hurt.

Unless you want the image on your arm, which I doubt very much.

As Mohinder says - go for something more original that you can say is your design. The last thing you want is to go through all the trouble of getting tattoed only for people to comment that you copied it from somewhere (it can become annoying ;)

Another thing to consider. The scales of justice have very straight lines. Straight lines with a tattoo are difficult to do since the body is not a flat surface.

Hope this helps.

my first tattoo was on my back and ok, it isnt huge or very complex, but still it didnt hurt. worst bits were going over my shoulder blade as the skin was thinner there.

How long was the sitting? I've had three sittings on my back piece, one of 2 1/2 hours on outlining (double outlined grr), 4 1/2 hours shading and colour, and 2 hours powerlining it.

All were agony! :(

Thanks for the input guys. Yes i was planning on having it across my back, shoulder to shoulder possibly.

Understand what you are saying here and do agree, was after the picture to get a good idea of the dimensions and relative size on the back. Was thinking along the lines of a more minimal look to it rather than the detailed art Mr DeNiro sports in the film.
