image-map hotspots rollover problem

Hi,

I have been implementing the following on a site i am designing and it has been working fine until i have started to use the poly image-map selection, i had been using the rectangle selection tool before. see examples below.

Above is where i have decided to use the poly selection tool and it doesnt seem to be working too great, if you rollover the yellowish bar then you will see that it changes in the corner of that button.

was wandering if someone had any idea why this is and offer me some guidance.
