Image not displaying properly?

Hi There

Just completed my first ever build.

Everything is working well with the build apart from one small very strange problem with the display.

There is something wrong with the image displayed on my monitor. I can't quite put my finger on exactly what looks wrong, but I'm sure the image on the screen is not displaying properly. The colors are slightly off, and it seems as though the screen is not as sharp as it should be.

I have tested the Samsung monitor on another, much older, PC and it works fine, I have also tried connecting my new build to the Samsung monitor with different HDMI and VGA cables, the problem still occurs. The problem also occurs at all resolutions. I also tested my new PC on another monitor, and it works fine.

This has left me very confused, as it seems as though each component (wires, monitor, new pc) work fine on their own, but when the Samsung monitor is combined with my newly built PC, the problem occurs.

I am using an MSI AMD HD 7850, an Intel Core i5 4670K, Asus Z87-K board, and 8gb o RAM. All drivers up to date. I have also checked if Samsung provide any drivers for my screen, which they don't. I have used the same screen for two years and have never required any drivers to run it.

If anyone has any idea what is going wrong, help would be much appreciated!

Sounds very strange, possibly just a compatibility issue between the screen an your PC, difficult to diagnose something like this as you say you can't describe why it looks off.

Some photos may help?
